Recently, on my other blog, A Crafty Life, I posted about checking out other work at home possibilities because I burned out on the one I had been working for three years. I know, would have made more sense to post that here. : / I was accepted to a few that I posted links to over there, but the one that is moving along the best is ACD Direct.
Wow, so much info in a short time and I’m only half way through training, but I’m really liking this company. The atmosphere is much more supportive and fun than previous ones and the trainers really want to see you succeed and make every effort to communicate with you speedily via Skype, email or phone.
If you want a part-time phone gig at home without the multiple upsells you encounter with so many, give ACD a look, but do it quickly because they are ramping up for the holiday drive season. Remember, they are somewhat seasonal. Although there are shifts available all the time, the bulk of their busy time is March, June, August and November/December. I know this sounds like a plug, but I make nothing from suggesting it…just want to help those who are searching through the wah junk out there.
Enjoy and let me know if you get on.

This has been my first week as an Independent Contract worker with ACD Direct and I'm loving it. I had a 2 day training class then I picked out the time I wanted to work. Each work slot is one hour at a time, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. I started with 1 or 2 hours a day to get my feet wet and get use to the scripts I need to read from to take pledges for Public Broadcast stations during their pledge times. I'm very excited about the up coming John Hagerty live show on November 7th. This will be were people can call in and request songs for Mr. Hagerty to sing live. We are expecting around 20,000 calls and will have close to 500 agents working to keep it running smoothly. I'm loving it.
