Spring is the best time of the year. Winter is over, well except for freak snow storms. Spring flowers are in bloom. I love the sunny yellow of the daffodils. It is a great time to try a cherry blossom paper roll tree craft.
We will get to spend a lot more time outside, at the park, gardening, and walking a long the river. My daughter loves to dig in the dirt, so we will be planting flowers together.
I always look forward to the gardening season, but flowers and vegetables. Flowering trees are blooming, around here ornamental pears, crab apples, red buds, and cherry trees.

Cherry Blossom Paper Roll Tree Craft
Paint 2 paper rolls brown on the inside and outside. Let them dry. You could use construction paper or card stock too.
Color 1 coffee filter with a red maker and 1 with a green maker, just scribble. Add a little water, I just when to the sink and added a little water or use a eye dropper. Let dry. You could also use tissue paper instead.
Cut the 1 of the painted paper rolls, starting at the top at an angle. Go around until where you started. Then cut another until you have finished. They should be about 1/4 in.
Glue about 5 of the strips in the inside of the paper roll. The glue the rest on the outside spacing them about the outside.
Tear the pink coffee filters into strips and then pieces. Smash the pieces together. Glue to the branches. You can add the green pieces now or talk about how the flowers come out first and then the leaves.
