Time to add more letters to my letter of the week resources, for preschool classes. I am adding letter C activities, crafts, and recipes. Here is the letter A resources and letter B resources.
I have gathered a list of different letter C activities from crafts, math, letter, recipes, and fine and gross motor skills. There are lots of letter C crafts to try as well as a letter C printable template.
Free Printable Letter C Craft Template
The preschool room I worked in did two craft activities a day and one recipe a week. The kids loved to cook and eat what they made. I have included recipes and snack ideas.
There were always lots of books different books for each week’s theme. We played games and did physical activities around the letters too. ABCs Yoga for Kids was always a favorite.

Count candy – Get some M&Ms and count the colors and make patterns with them.
Count coins – Count the number of coins. Sort by size smallest to biggest. Make pattern like dime, penny dime, penny
Favorite Color Graph – Make a graph of favorite colors. You can draw a large graph and have the kids use post-it notes to put their favorite color on the graph.
Favorite Candy Graph- Make a graph of favorite candy.

Act like a cat, crab, chick, chicken, cheetah, crocodile, car, cow, caterpillar, or cougar
Play catch
Pretend Cooking
Float like clouds
Tape large letter C’s to the floor using painting tape and have them crawl around the letter C.
Play copycat. Do different actions like jump, clap your and have them copy you.
Play card games, like go fish.
Stack cups – use plastic cups to make towers
Cut circles out of paper or other shapes
Letter C Alphabet Activities
Printable of Letter C Words – Great for circle time to introduce words that start with C, such as cat, cup, card, catch, cherry, cucumber, cupboard, caterpillar, cougar, cake, cow, cookie, cook, chicken, corduroy, cheetah, candy, crawl, crab, and more. Let them try to come up with ideas.
Bring a Letter C Item- Have the kids bring a letter C item to school (with parents approval of course) and share. If they can’t bring the item remind them they could bring a photo of the item instead.
Playdoh Letter Mat- Print out both uppercase and lowercase large on a piece of paper and form the letters with the playdoh
Loose Parts Letter Tracing – Print out large letters and use different items to cover the shape of the letters like flat marbles, beans, bottle caps, pompoms, pony beads, etc. (warning small parts)
