Easy Paper Letter R Rainbow Craft for Preschoolers to Make

I have made a uppercase R printable template PDF for you to use in this easy rainbow craft. You could use the template to make a rabbit or rain letter craft too.

The preschool room I worked in did 2 craft activities a day and one recipe a week. The kids loved to cook and eat what they made. There were always lots of books different books for each week’s theme.

Make a Letter R Rainbow Craft for Preschoolers

Supplies

white cardstock
construction paper
scissors
glue
crayons

How to Make a Letter R Rainbow Craft for Kids

Step 1.

Print out the letter R PDF and the sun and cloud PDF on white cardstock. Color the sun and cloud with crayons. Other options for coloring would be colored pencils, watercolors, paint, or markers.

Step 2.

Next, cut out the sun, cloud, and letter R. The sun and cloud maybe to complicated for a preschooler. An adult might need to cut them out or don’t cut all the details. You could choose to leave the background, also, and glue the sun and cloud at the top of the paper above the letter R.

Step 3.

Then, cut 1 inch strips out of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple construction paper. 1 strip each was enough. Then cut the stripes into 1/4 inch pieces.

Step 4.

Next, glue the rainbow colored strips in order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

Step 5.

Finally, Glue the sun and cloud behind the letter R. Enjoy!
