It’s the start of November and time to think about fun turkey crafts. I have made a easy paper plate craft of a cute turkey.
They would be great to do some on Thanksgiving Day to keep the kids entertained. Grab some markers, scissors, and paper plates and create a bunch of turkeys.
These Thanksgiving crafts for kids would work for toddler craft ideas to 1st graders and beyond. All you would need to do is simplify for younger kids and give more choices and creativity to order kids.
Pair with a book for creating and reading fun together. We like The Plump and Perky Turkey.

Supplies
- Small paper plate
- Paint / Paint brush or crayons or markers
- Scissors; safety scissors for kids
- Glue
Step 1.
Cut off the outer edge of the plate on the bottom half of the small plate. Make 2 cuts in the middle of the edge of the plate then cut around the indent for the edge of the plate.
You can cut a triangle off each end for the feet. You can use the extra piece for more feathers by gluing it to the top of the plate.
Step 2. Color Body
Add eyes, beak, and a wattle using markers. Color the center and the bottom circle brown.
You can add googly eyes and colored paper for the face feature too.
Step 3. Color Feathers
Color the feather, the top edge of the plate, various colors like yellow, red, and orange.
If you want you can color and glue the triangle feet to the bottom of the turkey.
