How to Make: Free Printable St Patrick’s Day Shamrock Garland

Supplies

scissors
yarn, string or ribbon
hole punch
printer
white cardstock
crayons, markers, colored pencils or paint (if you are decorating your own)
St Patrick’s Day garland printable colored (other versions below)

Step 1. Print Out Shamrock Template

Print out either the shamrocks with sayings on them or the blank template on white card stock. Let dry for a few minutes before the next step.

There is also version with just the words that you would print on colored cardstock to make your St Patrick’s Day shamrock garland.

You will want to print several copies of the shamrock template to make the size of garland you want.

No printer available, draw and cut out your own shamrock either out of white paper or colored.

Step 2. Cut Out Shamrocks

Next, using the scissors cut out your shamrocks carefully on the lines.
If you are decorating your own shamrocks, do that now and let them dry before the next step.

Step 3. Punch Holes

Then, carefully punch holes using the hole punch on either side of the shamrock. Make sure you punch the hole far enough away from the edge so it won’t tear easily.

Step 4. String the Shamrocks

Finally, using string, ribbon, or yarn, string the shamrocks on a long piece of yarn. Before you cut your yarn, lay out your shamrocks to estimate how much yarn you will need.

Leave enough yarn so you can hang up the heart garland.
